Sonja, was machst du denn hier? Ich denke, du bist in Köln. - Letzte Woche war ich in Köln. - Und wie war es? - Ach, es war toll!
Sonja, what are you doing here? I thought you were in Cologne. - I was in Cologne last week. - And how was it? - Oh, it was great!
Am Freitag bin ich hingefahren. Meine Freundin Julia hat mich vom Bahnhof abgeholt und dann sind wir in einem guten Restaurant essen gegangen.
On Friday, I went there. My friend Julia picked me up from the train station, and then we went to a nice restaurant to eat.
Schön! Was habt ihr denn noch gemacht? Du wolltest doch die neue Ausstellung sehen.
Nice! What else did you do? You wanted to see the new exhibition, right?
Ja, eigentlich am Samstag. Aber das Museum war wegen einer Veranstaltung geschlossen. Also waren wir im Theater.
Yes, actually on Saturday. But the museum was closed due to an event. So we went to the theater.
Du interessierst dich wohl sehr für Kultur? - Ja, deshalb waren wir auch noch in einem Klavierkonzert.
You seem to be very interested in culture, don't you? - Yes, that's why we also went to a piano concert.
Julia wollte eigentlich am Sonntag gehen, aber wir haben leider keine Karten mehr gekriegt.
Julia actually wanted to go on Sunday, but unfortunately, we didn't get any tickets.
Also waren wir den ganzen Tag in der Stadt und haben uns Sehenswürdigkeiten angesehen. - Das mach ich auch gern.
So we spent the whole day in the city and visited sights. - I like doing that too.
Und wann wart ihr dann bei dem Klavierkonzert? - Am Montagabend.
And when did you go to the piano concert? - On Monday evening.
Montag gab es auch ein kostenloses Konzert von zwei Bands draußen vor der Universität. Das hätte mich auch interessiert. - Man kann ja nicht alles haben.
On Monday, there was also a free concert by two bands outside the university. I would have been interested in that too. - You can't have everything.
Und Dienstag? - Ich wollte eigentlich mit dem Schiff auf dem Rhein, dem Fluss, fahren. Aber Julia hatte eine andere tolle Idee: eine Radtour am Fluss.
And Tuesday? - I actually wanted to take a boat ride on the Rhine, the river. But Julia had another great idea: a bike tour along the river.
Am Abend war ich total müde. - War das Wetter denn gut? - Wir hatten Glück.
In the evening, I was completely tired. - Was the weather good? - We were lucky.
Am Mittwoch hat es leider geregnet. Das war schade, weil wir auf ein Straßenfest gehen wollten. Das hat dann nicht geklappt.
Unfortunately, it rained on Wednesday. That was a shame because we wanted to go to a street festival. That didn't work out.
Wir waren dann in der Ausstellung, im Museum. - Darauf hattest du dich ja sehr gefreut. - Die war sehr schön. Kann ich empfehlen!
We then went to the exhibition at the museum. - You were really looking forward to that. - It was very nice. I can recommend it!
